In people, higher blood MOTS-c went with more heart trouble or deaths, but didn't prove cause [7].
What is known about MOTS-c side effects
No finished human study has measured side effects after people were given MOTS-c. Scientists don't know how long it stays in blood. They also don't know how a person's body clears it. Lab products may differ in strength, purity, or contamination with germs. No safety record means neither safety nor harm has been proved.
Why MOTS-c isn't approved for people
MOTS-c is sold for lab work in many places. It isn't approved as a medicine for people. No human study has yet shown a health gain. Sports rules also ban it for athletes at all times. Laws differ by country, so a local expert must answer your legal question.

Those tests lasted weeks, not years. Long-term daily safety isn't known for you.
Can NAD+ make your weight rise
The studies didn't tie NMN or NR pills to weight gain. Both pills give cells material for making NAD+. That finding can't prove a person's weight will never change. A 2021 study in women with high blood sugar found no clear change in body fat, muscle, or weight [15]. Their muscle answered insulin better, but strong proof about body weight remains limited.
